Cassien Nduwimana is a laboratory scientist holding a Masters degree in Medical virology from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and a BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) from the National Public Health Institute (NPHI), Burundi. He currently works at the National Reference Laboratory of the NPHI. He is skilled in genomic sequencing technologies using different platforms including Illumina, Nanopore, DNBSeq and CyclonSeq. Nduwimana's research focuses on molecular tools to understand pathogen evolution, disease epidemiology, host-pathogen interactions, and the antimicrobial resistance.
